Inspiration

This week I’ve been trying to find other active blogs by teenagers to read (to no avail) and I came across this 17 year old’s old blog called Your Teen Business (Which unfortunately, isn’t active anymore). I found this website very inspiring after reading the about page and the story of Ed Fry, the author of the blog. I’ve always been someone who wants to achieve things which most people achieve after they’ve graduated and this blog was written by someone exactly like me. Ed told the story of a snack business he created at school as a school project. They sold cakes at their school cafeteria, but after becoming something of a nuisance to their teachers, they had to stop the business. But Ed didn’t give up! He got an internship with a web marketing firm and now he’s making speeches at places like the Turing Festival…and honestly, I’m so jealous. It’s so inspiring when teens pursue their dreams when they’re young and then succeed when they’re older. It gives me faith that I’ll get somewhere in life…
I also recently discovered Ninian Doff, a really cool director, through the music video ‘Ghengis Khan’ by Miike Snow. I checked out his bio and Ninian started out in movie editing and motion graphics and transitioned to become a director and screenwriter (…inspiration galore…). His debut film received 100% rotten tomatoes! Wow. He directs music videos, commercials, movies and tv shows and his work is so great (and generally extremely funny). I’ll be following him and his future works because I’m just so inspired. Make sure to check out his videos…I bet you’ll find one that makes you laugh.
