Monster

…It’s bloodshot eyes bulge in it’s sockets, a green ooze dripping like hot jam down a jar. Repulsive, foul talons coil and entwine as they extend out to the skies, producing a nauseating feel in your lower stomach like a washing machine on full throttle. As the sickening talons make contact with your skin you feel like shrieking with excruciating pain, but no sound can escape your mouth. Its execrable lips reflect it’s past. They are blue from the lack of blood. Soon you will meet the same fate. It’s scarred neck makes your fingers curl in insufferable disgust. It is like a nightmare come true. If you stare past its lifeless lips, though seldom live to do it, you will be staring at into a pit of blood and rotten teeth. But the most harrowing thing about it is that it is human. Covering its feet like a blanket are shoes so old that they have lost all their colour. It’s like they are drained of blood like the rest of the creature. You know it is the end of life as you know it, because you will still be alive when it’s finished with you, but not as you are, but as a lifeless creature dominating all it ever knew. Your limbs are stretching out to match the creature that is slowly relieving you of all your blood, but it isn’t a vampire. It’s hair sticks out in a grey, solemn afro, not like the colour of an afro you’d see at the circus. Perched on top of it’s afro is a faded black bowlers hat wrapped in a faded white ribbon. It wears sleek striped pants that accentuates the height of the the creature that is so tall it has to bend double to touch you. And then the pain ceases. You extend to your full height and begin to grow, and grow, and grow, taller than you ever would have grown naturally. You can reach out and grab the clouds if you feel the need to, but all you have on your mind now is one thing.

Carrying on the cycle.
