Arctic Monkeys

Last week, I discovered that one of my favourite bands plays extremely well live. This week, I realised that they are playing live where I live very soon. Today, I realised all reasonably good tickets are sold out. Lucky me. If you haven’t heard of Arctic Monkeys, they’re a (very famous) British rock band that recently released an album called Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino. This, more chilled album, got me hooked and after that I even deviated from my usual ‘I hate rock’-self and fell in love with their earlier albums. Usually, I wouldn’t be so bugged by missing a live show but Arctic Monkeys play with real guitars and literal drums and the atmosphere at their shows is electric. Their songs have the best lyrics and the best bass. I guess I’ll just have to wait until they swing back around to Australia 😢.
