Simon Vs The Homosapien Agenda Review
(Published: 2019/02/10)
Simon vs The Homosapien Agenda is the best book I have read for a very, very long time. It evoked so much emotion and was so sweet! It’s about a boy called Simon who falls in love with another anonymous guy over email. I loved it and I cannot recommend it enough. The author has hit the nail completely on the head for ‘teenage-talk’ and the book is so believable. Because the book is written from the perspective of Simon, you feel all his emotions which means that when you finally reach the end you feel like you know him. The end of the book made me smile and cry at the same time and a book like that is the best kind a book. In fact, you could say I just smiled more at the end of the book because the entire book was hilarious and gave you that warm-fuzzy feeling which must be so hard to achieve with just words on a page. The characters are perfect and I honestly cannot say how much I love this book. I should probably stop now before I say I love it another 5 (million) times…
Also, I decided I liked SVTHSA so much that I picked up another book called What If It’s Us by the same author (it’s cowritten with Adam Silvera) and I really liked that book too. It’s funny because I almost never read real-life books and never read pure romance books but somehow these books were different than the general dramatic and depressing real-life books…
