Cavetown Live

I have been waiting for this week to come for months…because I went to see Cavetown live! And it was amazing. Everyone was singing along to all the songs, and Robbie’s voice is, impossibly, even better live than on his albums. It was very hot when we went to see him and we waited in line in the heat for quite a long time, but it was completely worth it. Honestly, I’m still quite disbelieving that it happened at all. My friends and I went absolutely crazy when we heard Cavetown was coming to Australia. Plus, we happened to be standing right next to a side exit from the venue when Robbie, Austin (spookyghostboy), and some other people walked out! We all froze and literally just stared at them as they walked past…talk about a missed opportunity. It was my first concert and I couldn’t have hoped for a better one. The only thing I am hoping for in the future is that I will grow a bit more! I’m not exactly short but I’m not tall either, so I envied the tall people who were blocking our view just a little.

Anyway, if you haven’t heard of Cavetown, I suggest you listen to his music. Some standout songs for me are ‘888’, ‘Fool’, ‘Jack’s Song’, and one of his latest releases, ‘Telescope’.
