What an ambiguous title. It's not a very good title, I admit, but at least its better than the long-winding title of "Assorted Movie and TV Show Reviews, Pt (insert here haha)". Anyway, I've been pretty busy because it is nearing the end of my school term but I have still managed to fit in a few tv and movie reviews for you all (I say that like I have millions of followers on this blog haha). First up:

Even though we may not be able to go to the cinema right now, there are still so many movies out there waiting to be given our love (or not..) so I thought I’d try a few more! Featured genres: Comedy, romance, drama, historical drama, action, musical, independent, and a sitcom! Hopefully there’s something for everyone! First up..

I'm feeling very energised about posting so I have decided to listen to some albums, EPs and singles that are being released right now and review them. I will try to put my own music taste to one side during my reviews and give an unbiased opinion on the quality of the music. The albums I am reviewing have been released within the past couple of weeks.

Wow, that title makes it sound like the movies are candy. I was going to say liquorice all-sorts but the amount of people who don’t like liquorice is actually astounding. I love liquorice, especially black cats. They used to be a bit hard to come by but now they’re at my local grocery store and I am so happy. Anyway, I’m getting off-track. This week is my first of two weeks of holidays and I’ve been watching quite a few movies, so I thought I’d do a quick review for each of the movies I’ve seen so far. I’ll try to keep adding to the list, too. These reviews will probably be a tad pointless because there are so many reviews on these movies already, but if you’re looking for good movies to watch, maybe this will give you some suggestions!

Cavetown has released his new album! And I am DYING of happiness. It is so good. And now I am at the second last track and wishing I hadn’t heard it already. I actually have quite a bit of homework I should be doing right now but this amazing album is preventing me from concentrating in any capacity.

This is going to be the shortest post in the history of posts, but I just saw a quote at the beginning of a book and I loved it so much I think it should be shared with the world.

I've been at the movies more times than usual this past few weeks and have seen four of the latest movies! So, I thought I might as well review them for you.

I have been waiting for this week to come for months…because I went to see Cavetown live! And it was amazing. Everyone was singing along to all the songs, and Robbie’s voice is, impossibly, even better live than on his albums.

Yes, yes, YES JJ Abrams! That was insane! I went into the cinema with such low expectations because of the movie’s 58% Rotten Tomatoes score (which makes it officially rotten) and came out of the cinema ranting about how great the movie was! Honestly, I thought the movie lived up to the huge position it had to fill as the last Star Wars movie in the Skywalker Saga. There were a few little things that I thought were a bit pathetic and a couple of unbelievable coincidences, but as a whole, the movie was very…enjoyable! And that’s the point of a movie isn’t it?

Today I rediscovered a blog of sorts called The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a dictionary of words that a man called John Koenig has created to describe moments and emotions that there are no words for in the English language. They are words like ambedo which is defined as:

n. a kind of melancholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details—raindrops skittering down a window, tall trees leaning in the wind, clouds of cream swirling in your coffee—which leads to a dawning awareness of the haunting fragility of life, a mood whose only known cure is the vuvuzela.

Mind. Blown. Since when does Ed Sheeran make rock music??? (Yes that deserved three question marks) If you haven’t listened to Ed Sheeran’s new album, No. 6 Collaboration Project* , which is highly unlikely considering it has been number one on the official album charts for three weeks now, you should know that it is exactly what the title says it is: a collaboration project. I personally don’t like Ed Sheeran music, spare ‘Sing’ which was programmed into my music taste after watching a live performance of it when I was little. In fact, Ed Sheeran music does an extremely good job at being irritating and results in me changing the channel on my radio very quickly. There is just something about it being so pop and so mopey.

Yesssssss! I’ve written fifty Thinkerations! My goal for this year is to reach one hundred Thinkerations, so we’ll see how that goes.

As much as I dislike Windows, sometimes I just have to put up with it. However, I don’t think I should have to put up with living without the wonderful apps on my Mac that only seem to be found on the Apple App Store. In particular, I love productivity apps. Unfortunately, most of the productivity apps I use aren’t compatible with Windows. So here are some of my favourite Mac apps and alternatives!

Yesterday I started and finished reading Satellite by Nick Lake. I’ve been wanting this book for about a year and I was so excited when I spied it on a book shopping trip for my library club at school. I was at first very offended by the sans serif font that was eternally burning my eyes (my friends actually dismissed the book when they saw the font), but lucky you, Nick Lake, your writing won me over.

Hello again! If there's anyone out there who is a devoted follower of my blog, you may want to know a bit more about this stranger who writes really irrelevant stuff. As you can probably tell, I am super into music, films, science, graphic design and, obviously, writing. But if that isn't enough for you, I thought I'd give you a bit of a Q and A to chew on (pardon? Chew on?).

We have been camping around the Isle of Wight for nearly a month now. The commander has tried to silence the rumour of us soon being disassembled due to a shortage of food. Yet it was evident that food was running short. Weeks ago, when we had first arrived, each of us soldiers had a piece of bread and two pieces of dried, salted beef for dinner. Occasionally, we even had a fraction of fresh fish. Now, the only food that was available was a small piece of stale bread, and secretly, I suspected that it was getting smaller each day.

Ahhhh! Mark Ronson has finally dropped his latest album, Late Night Feelings! He kept teasing us with singles featuring Miley Cyrus, YEBBA, and King Princess, and I was dying inside waiting for it. I opened Spotify a couple of minutes ago and gasped when I saw his album awaiting me in the new releases section. So, now, I’m meant to be doing homework but am really just bopping to his album..

Edit: 2020 lockdown was the time for getting into BTS. You have another fan now, BTS. 🙂

Sigh. If you’ve read my K-Pop article, you might remember that I really don’t like K-Pop, especially BTS. Somehow, a couple of months ago, I ended up liking a few EXO songs and following them on Spotify. Then yesterday, my BTS-obsessed friend (who has been bugging me with BTS songs for far too long (this is all your fault, friend)) recommended me some BTS songs, and I am very aggrieved to report that I…….liked them.

WOW!!!!! Yes, that was FIVE EXCLAMATION MARKS! I can’t even…….(deep breath).
